BIPOC Winter Birding Workshop Outer Banks

Experience the Wonders of Winter Birding with Naturally Wild LLC!

Embark on a transformative three-day, two-night birding workshop to the breathtaking Outer Banks, North Carolina, designed exclusively for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color. This BIPOC Birders Winter Workshop is more than just a trip—it’s a celebration of connection, community, and the beauty of our shared wild spaces.

Explore diverse habitats and iconic landmarks as we visit three National Wildlife Refuges, a historic lighthouse, and a picturesque state park. Guided by expert birder Deja Perkins, you’ll learn about a variety of wintering bird species and gain a deeper appreciation for the fragile dune ecosystems that define the Outer Banks.

Relax and recharge in comfort with accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk, NC. Our journey emphasizes sustainability and collaboration, with participants joining a caravan-style carpool to minimize our environmental impact.
